In anticipation of the 2027 general elections, prominent northern leaders affiliated with the Northern Bridge Builders Forum are preparing to pay a visit to Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the esteemed head of the pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere.
This coalition, which brings together influential and respected figures from the 19 northern states along with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), aims to garner Pa Fasoranti’s endorsement for President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office.
Sources reveal that the Northern Bridge Builders Forum is deeply invested in fostering national cohesion, ensuring peace, and advancing Nigeria’s overall progress.
In correspondence addressed to Pa Fasoranti, the Forum emphasized its dedication to enhancing the welfare of Nigerians, encouraging harmonious coexistence, and driving socio-economic development throughout the nation.
This upcoming engagement follows closely on the heels of a recent visit by members of the Arewa Think Tank, who also met with the Afenifere leader in Akure to express their backing for President Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
The Forum firmly believes that President Tinubu’s leadership and reform initiatives are pivotal to securing a prosperous future for Nigeria.
Among the distinguished members of the Forum are former Adamawa State Deputy Governor Bala Ngilari and ex-National Assembly representative Dantami Ihenya, highlighting the group’s influential composition.
The Northern Bridge Builders Forum is scheduled to meet Pa Fasoranti at his residence in Akure on Wednesday, after which they plan to hold a courtesy call with Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
