The Presidency has expressed strong assurance in President Bola Tinubu’s chances of securing re-election, asserting that no current political figure possesses the influence to rival him in the 2027 general elections.
Daniel Bwala, the President’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, made this declaration on Tuesday in Abuja during a strategic meeting with over 100 pro-Tinubu advocacy groups representing various regions of the country.
The gathering, titled “Meet and Greet with the Spokesman,” was designed to enhance collaboration between the Presidency and grassroots supporters as preparations for the 2027 polls intensify.
“As part of our approach to extend the benefits of this administration, it is essential to engage directly with the foundation of our support-the grassroots groups. We want to acknowledge their efforts and encourage them to deepen their commitment for the nation’s progress and the President’s vision,” Bwala explained.
He emphasized that the policy initiatives and developmental progress achieved under Tinubu’s leadership over the past two years have revitalized trust in Nigeria’s economic and governance frameworks, making his re-election a foregone conclusion.
“Currently, no Nigerian politician can match President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s capacity. We are transitioning from renewed optimism to tangible recovery, and this recovery must positively impact the everyday lives of Nigerians,” Bwala stated.
The meeting included leaders from all six geopolitical zones, as well as delegates who traveled from the United Kingdom, highlighting the broad-based nature of the support network.
Clarifying the purpose of the event, the presidential aide noted it was not a campaign rally but a forum to foster stronger ties between the government and its grassroots allies.
“Many wait until election season to seek out support groups, but that approach is flawed. These groups are not mere instruments; they are essential partners in governance and must be integrated into the government’s ongoing efforts,” he remarked.
Bwala also revealed plans to host similar town hall sessions in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom to engage Nigerians living abroad and keep them informed about the Tinubu administration’s accomplishments.
Looking ahead, the Presidency intends to convene the first major progressive town hall by November, bringing together all registered support groups to evaluate strategies and review government performance.
Highlighting the administration’s successes, Bwala pointed out that Tinubu’s economic reforms over the last two years are beginning to produce measurable improvements in sectors such as energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and employment.
“The results are becoming evident. Across the economy, security, education, and agriculture, progress is visible on the ground. These groups will play a key role in communicating these achievements,” he added.
Former legislator Hon. Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma also praised Tinubu’s leadership, describing him as a transformative figure who has established a strong foundation for sustainable development.
“Regardless of opinions, the reality is that President Tinubu will be re-elected in 2027. We have moved forward from where we were, and the President is accelerating this progress,” Agbonayinma affirmed.
He lauded the government’s decision to eliminate the fuel subsidy, noting that this move has unlocked trillions of naira for local governments to invest in community development.
Both speakers encouraged the support groups to continue promoting awareness of the administration’s policies and to maintain unity beyond regional and political divides.
Bwala called on supporters nationwide to renew their dedication, emphasizing that the Tinubu administration remains committed to economic revival, national unity, and inclusive growth.
“President Tinubu has earned not only the backing of the people but also their loyalty and dedication to build upon the foundation his government has laid,” he concluded.
