The 7th annual Lord’s Achievers Awards (LAA) recently illuminated The Monarch Events Centre in Lekki, Lagos, celebrating a new generation of trailblazers, innovators, and leaders under the inspiring theme: Icons of Impact.
Sponsored by Lord’s London Dry Gin, this prestigious event honored 12 exceptional individuals whose remarkable contributions showcase creativity, excellence, and meaningful influence both within Nigeria and internationally. The distinguished recipients for this year include:

Award recipients, hosts, and organizers at the 2025 Lord’s Achievers Awards in Lagos
A highlight of the evening was the introduction of the inaugural “Lord of the City” Award, bestowed upon Ife Durosinmi-Etti. A previous honoree, Ife made waves at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity by securing three Silver Lions for her groundbreaking breastmilk financing initiative.

The integrity of the awards was upheld by a panel of esteemed judges, including:

Representing the brand on the jury were Oluwagbemileke Lawal, Marketing Manager at Nigeria Distilleries, and Olusegun Akinyemiju, Senior Brand Manager for Lord’s London Dry Gin. They were joined by Oluwaseun Olaniyan, Partner and Head of Brands and Communities at The Influence Agency, the strategic engagement partner for the Awards.

Since its inception, the Lord’s Achievers Awards has celebrated over 70 young trailblazers, including notable figures such as Layi Wasabi, Adejoke Lasisi, Stanley Onuorah, Kelechi Okoro, Solomon Ayodele, Kennedy Ekezie-Joseph, and Segun Adegoke. These alumni continue to push boundaries in their respective fields, inspiring a new wave of leaders and innovators.
Addressing the audience, Oluwagbemileke Lawal, Marketing Manager at Nigeria Distilleries, emphasized the significance of the event:

For seven years, we have honored young talents whose achievements spark inspiration and foster positive change throughout society. The celebration extended beyond accolades, featuring vibrant cultural and artistic showcases. Attendees enjoyed captivating performances by Seeing Through the Arts (STAR), Band Tronic, Loud Choir, emerging Afro-soul sensation Qing Madi, crowd favourite Fido, hypeman Do2dtun, alongside an electrifying live DJ set and the rising star Shoday.
