They say love often surrounds us, waiting patiently for the perfect moment to reveal itself. For Tunmise and me, that moment arrived unexpectedly during a challenging time. Although we attended the same secondary school-she was my junior-and lived in the same neighborhood, we never truly connected back then. It was only amid the quiet of the COVID-19 lockdown that we began to communicate. Suddenly, I saw Tunmise in a new light-not just as a familiar face from school, but as a radiant, lively woman whose charm captivated me instantly.
Her petite stature and warm, playful nature drew me in immediately. I remember thinking, “This amazing woman deserves someone strong to stand by her side.” Her kindness and sweetness shone through, especially during those long weeks of isolation, and I found myself growing closer to her every day.
Before long, it became impossible to go a day without hearing from her or seeing her. Talking about Tunmise always brings a smile to my face. Her heart is pure gold-she loves with a depth that continually amazes me. Even on days when I struggle to find love for myself, she loves enough for both of us, offering unwavering support and encouragement. She fuels my spirit and motivates me to keep moving forward.
