Tripoint Travels, a foremost travel and tourism enterprise in Nigeria catering to both corporate clients and international organizations, proudly celebrates the graduation of its inaugural group of interns. These individuals completed an intensive six-month program through the organization’s educational branch, Tripoint Academy for Tourism & Enterprise Development, where they gained comprehensive knowledge in travel, tourism, digital marketing, and foundational business skills.
Launched earlier this year, the internship initiative reflects Tripoint Academy’s dedication to societal contribution and youth empowerment in Nigeria. From a competitive pool of over 200 applicants, seven promising candidates were selected to participate in a curriculum blending theoretical instruction with practical, real-world experience in the travel and tourism industry.
Shuhda Muhammed, the visionary Founder and CEO of both Tripoint Travels and Tripoint Academy, shared her thoughts on this achievement:
“Our mission at Tripoint Travels is to foster environments where young talents can flourish. This internship was crafted not merely as a training program but as a transformative journey, equipping participants with the expertise and insights necessary to excel in the dynamic global tourism and business arenas. We are thrilled to celebrate the success of our first graduating class, who represent the future trailblazers of this sector.”
Reflecting on her experience, one of the graduates, Taiwo Fapohunda, expressed:
“This program has been a pivotal experience for me. Beyond tourism, we delved into digital marketing and entrepreneurial principles, which has boosted my confidence to pursue a career in this field. I am deeply thankful to Tripoint Travels for this invaluable opportunity.”
The graduation event was a distinguished affair, attended by notable figures such as Uche Uzeobo, CEO of SANEF (Shared Agent Network Expansion Facility); Wale Ajiboye, Chief Curator at 16Stories; Dr. Nneka Okekearu, Director at the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) – Pan Atlantic University; Dr. Olawale Anifowose, Managing Director of GEN Nigeria; and Crystal Chigbu, Executive Director of The IREDE Foundation, among others.
Their attendance underscored the program’s legitimacy and the industry’s endorsement of Tripoint Academy’s role in addressing the talent shortage within tourism and enterprise development.
Emphasizing the strength of partnerships, Dr. Anifowose remarked:
“This graduation symbolizes more than a milestone; it exemplifies the power of collaboration. At GEN Nigeria, we are committed to creating avenues where talent aligns with opportunity, and we are excited to welcome one of these graduates into our team.”
This immediate success story highlights the exceptional quality of training provided by Tripoint Academy and signals a promising future for these emerging professionals. It clearly demonstrates that investing in youth and enterprise development yields tangible, impactful results.”
Celebrating the triumph of its first internship cohort, Tripoint Travels reaffirms its steadfast dedication to empowering young Nigerians, driving innovation within the industry, and contributing to national progress.
Looking ahead, Tripoint Travels hopes this pioneering program will inspire other entrepreneurs, organizations, and individuals to adopt similar models, ultimately cultivating a skilled and motivated workforce ready to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s growth.
