Capturing someone’s interest face-to-face is one thing, but doing so through a screen is quite another. When both happen seamlessly, it feels like destiny has played its part. đŸ’–

Our Story: How We Crossed Paths
From the Bride, Ayomide:
In December 2021, I attended a Christmas celebration hosted by a mutual friend. Arriving early as usual, I soon noticed a young man who approached me with a playful grin and said, “So you’re the Fappy.” I chuckled and confirmed, “Yes, that’s me.” That lighthearted exchange set the tone for the evening. We found ourselves side by side, engaging in games and conversations as if we were lifelong companions. Later, I stepped out onto the balcony for some fresh air, and he followed. Together, we gazed over the cityscape, sharing stories and laughter. The connection felt effortless and familiar, like discovering a sense of belonging in another person.
Before the night concluded, we exchanged numbers. What started as a casual chat soon blossomed into a meaningful friendship grounded in humor, sincerity, and mutual care. Over time, that friendship evolved into love. Though we faced challenges along the way, each hurdle only fortified our relationship. Now, we stand on the brink of marriage, eager to embark on a lifetime of shared joy, growth, and adventure.
From the Groom, Dipo:
In 2021, after relocating to Canada, I began attending church services online. It was there that I first noticed a woman known as Fappy. Though she never turned on her camera, her voice was captivating and commanded the attention of everyone present. That December, at a Christmas party in Toronto, we finally met in person. When she introduced herself, I smiled and said, “Ah, you’re the Fappy.” That moment revealed the most dazzling smile I had ever seen, one that would remain etched in my memory forever. What started as playful banter soon turned into a deep conversation on the balcony that stretched for hours. It felt as though we had known each other for a lifetime.
From that point, our friendship blossomed into a profound and beautiful love neither of us anticipated. I was drawn to her infectious happiness, playful nature, and above all, her unwavering faith. Today, that initial spark has grown into a radiant love that brightens with every day. The essence of our journey is best captured in the poem below, a tribute to a love that grows ever stronger and everlasting.
At a festive gathering in twenty-one,
Where joy and laughter filled the air,
A playful greeting sparked the fun-
“So you’re the Fappy?” with a smile to share.
A connection formed, rare and true,
On the balcony, beneath the moon’s hue.
Hours passed with stories and cheer,
Two hearts entwined, drawing near.
Ayomide-“my happiness has come,” so bright,
From that night, our love took flight.
Dipo-“God’s gift,” a blessing shown,
In that moment, our seeds were sown.
–
Seasons changed, our bond held fast,
Through calls and dreams that forever last.
August arrived in twenty-three,
A question asked, “Will you marry me?”
A love profound, a journey new,
Built on friendship, honest and true.
Guided by faith, hearts open wide,
Together forever, side by side.
–
Then came the day, August so bright,
A proposal filled with pure delight.
“Will you be mine?” the words sincere,
With joyful tears, love drew near.
Now awaits the year twenty-five,
A wedding day where dreams come alive.
Our story, a divine design,
Forever begins with “I do,” entwined.
