The Koko-Besse/Maiyama Progressive Youth Forum, a vibrant youth organization, has called on Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, to intensify his efforts in securing President Bola Tinubu’s reelection in 2027.
Highlighting the minister‘s pivotal role within President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the group emphasized that Bagudu is uniquely positioned to contribute significantly to the president’s victory and to advance national development through his strategic portfolio.
In a declaration issued by Interim Chairman Musa Bello Koko, the Forum expressed confidence in Senator Bagudu’s ability to unify apc-sends-warning-shot-to-gov-adeleke-days-after-tinubu-talks/” title=”Tension in Osun as … sends warning shot to Gov Adeleke days after Tinubu talks”>party members at the grassroots level, thereby strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) and resolving internal conflicts within the state chapter.
Furthermore, the Forum urged the minister to heed the voices of the Kebbi Central Senatorial District electorate by endorsing a fresh candidate to represent the district in the upcoming 2027 elections.
“Having served two terms as Kebbi State governor and now as a minister overseeing a critical sector of the Renewed Hope Agenda, Senator Bagudu is in an ideal position to rally APC members and ensure President Tinubu’s success in 2027, while also securing Kebbi State’s loyalty to our party,” the statement read.
“As a seasoned statesman, the minister should also consider supporting the emergence of new leadership for Kebbi Central’s senatorial seat. Our community encourages him to continue backing President Tinubu at the federal level while passing the baton to a new senator,” Koko added.
The Forum attributed the ongoing challenges within the APC and the state to the limited opportunities available for younger aspirants to contest elective offices and demonstrate their leadership capabilities.
“Senator Bagudu has reached the pinnacle of political achievement in Kebbi State. As a federal minister and respected figure, it is crucial for him to facilitate a transition that allows younger leaders to emerge and prove their competence,” the statement emphasized.
“The people of Koko-Besse/Maiyama, one of the most influential constituencies in Kebbi Central, stand united in this appeal to Senator Bagudu,” Koko affirmed.
“We trust that the minister will recognize the importance of this call and choose to leave a lasting legacy that benefits our state, the APC, and embodies fairness and visionary leadership,” he concluded.
