Super Falcons icon Asisat Oshoala has shared her thoughts on Marcus Rashford’s resurgence at Barcelona following his loan transfer from Manchester United, according to Soccernet.ng.
The six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year hinted that the English forward might struggle to reintegrate at Old Trafford after rekindling his passion for the game in Spain.
Rashford was initially left out of the starting lineup due to arriving late for a pre-match briefing, as reported by TalkSPORT. However, he was introduced at halftime and quickly made a significant contribution by assisting Dani Olmo’s decisive goal, securing the win.
Oshoala’s Take on Rashford’s Situation
On her verified X account, Oshoala expressed:
“Bruh, imagine how Rashford will feel if he goes back to United….. e fit burst cry. E dey enjoy ball ehhhh.”

Translated from Nigerian Pidgin, her words mean:
“Man, just think about how Rashford would feel returning to United… he might break down in tears. He’s truly loving playing football right now.”

Her remarks follow Rashford’s impressive display in the Champions League, where he netted twice to help Barcelona secure a 2-1 victory away at Newcastle.
Before his loan switch, the 27-year-old striker faced challenges at Manchester United, but under the guidance of coach Hansi Flick, he has begun to recapture glimpses of his peak performance.
Is Rashford Regaining His Best Form?
Although Rashford is yet to open his La Liga goal account, his impact is evident through his assists, crucial passes, and ability to create scoring opportunities. His performances have earned him commendable ratings across Europe, including an 8.8 for his two-goal effort at St James’ Park.
Off the field, Rashford recently attracted attention after arriving late to a team meeting, resulting in Flick relegating him to the bench for a league fixture against Getafe. Despite this disciplinary hiccup, he came off the bench to assist Dani Olmo, reinforcing his importance to the squad.

With Rashford clearly “enjoying football” in Spain, as Oshoala put it, the question remains whether the England international will return to Manchester United or continue to thrive abroad.
