A coalition comprising youth organizations and political groups within Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State has officially thrown their weight behind Engr. Prof. Muhammad Sani Haruna’s bid for governor under the All Progressives Congress (APC) banner.
The endorsement event, held at Pentagon Hotel in New Nyanya, Karu LGA, attracted a diverse assembly of influential political leaders, community elders, women’s representatives, and youth activists from across the local government area.
Addressing attendees, Comrade Kyauta Samuel, the head of the Karu youth coalition, emphasized that their support for Haruna stems from his demonstrated dedication to public service and his unwavering focus on empowering young people.
“Our collective decision to back Prof. Muhammad Sani Haruna is rooted in his genuine concern for the welfare of the populace, particularly the youth, which sets him apart from other gubernatorial hopefuls,” Samuel remarked.
“He is a grassroots leader with authentic electoral appeal. His altruistic initiatives, including innovative solar energy projects, empowerment schemes, and extensive job creation efforts, have significantly uplifted marginalized communities,” he added.
Samuel highlighted that Haruna represents the ideals of fairness, equity, and justice-values essential for effective governance in Nasarawa State. He called on supporters to demonstrate unwavering dedication and readiness to make sacrifices throughout the campaign, asserting that such commitment is crucial for securing victory at the polls.
He also urged all eligible voters to ensure they obtain their voter identification cards ahead of the upcoming election.

“I regret not being present in person but deeply value this endorsement and the encouraging remarks,” Salihu stated. “Should I be entrusted with the governorship in 2027, my administration will prioritize human capital development and implement policies that build upon the achievements of the current government led by Engr. Abdullahi Sule.”
