Kebbi NLC Commits to Recovering Illegally Deducted Salaries from Workers
BY KABIR WURMA, Birnin Kebbi

Comrade Murtala Usman, the state NLC chairman, disclosed this plan during a press briefing at his office in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
He revealed that the state government expressed displeasure over the unauthorized deductions, prompting the governor to instruct the union to recover all amounts withheld from workers’ salaries in September.
“Our union has established a committee to investigate the circumstances surrounding this unjust action and to ensure the full restitution of the deducted funds by those responsible,” Comrade Usman stated.
“We anticipate recovering approximately N14 million from these illegal salary deductions,” he added.
The chairman also called on affected employees to remain patient as the union works diligently to resolve the issue.
