Confidence holds a unique power-just a spark of it can unlock opportunities and guide you toward your desires. Three years ago, Tejiri approached a complete stranger at a Lagos lounge with an audacious request: her phone number and a hug.
Though this bold move might have caught Cindy off guard, it certainly made a lasting impact. From that initial moment, Tejiri pursued her heart with unwavering determination-and ultimately, he succeeded. Today, they embark on a shared journey of happiness, having celebrated their union in a vibrant Igbo-Urhobo traditional wedding. The ceremony was a heartfelt homage to their heritage, featuring the elegant wine-carrying ritual and touching family blessings, each steeped in cultural richness and joy.

Our First Encounter
Cindy shares:
Our paths crossed three years ago at a lounge in Lagos. Tejiri was hanging out with some old school friends when he spotted me entering. Without hesitation, he stopped me, asked for my Snapchat, and then, quite boldly, requested a hug within moments. The spontaneity of it all made me laugh, and in that brief, unexpected exchange, our story quietly took root. Although I initially paid little attention to his messages, his gentle persistence was impossible to ignore.
Destiny reunited us at a friend’s game night, where I truly noticed him-the sparkle in his eyes, the warmth he radiated. When he invited me out, I accepted. That first date was the turning point. What began as a chance meeting blossomed into a profound connection: endless conversations, shared laughter across cities, and a love that deepened with every moment. From that night in Lagos to the countless memories since, every step has led us here-to a commitment to cherish each other forever. What started with a simple hug has now become a lifelong vow.
