The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a prominent faction within the All Progressives Congress (APC), have confidently predicted that President Bola Tinubu will achieve a decisive triumph in the 2027 presidential election.
In a statement released on Monday by the group’s coordinators from the South East region, they highlighted Tinubu’s rising popularity, attributing it to the “nation-revitalizing and economic rejuvenation” brought about by his administration’s policies. This, they asserted, would secure him widespread backing nationwide, with particularly strong support anticipated from the South East.
The South East coordinators-Chief Henry Ikoh (Abia), Chief Okey Ezenwa (Anambra), Barrister Kelechi Igwe (Ebonyi), Barrister George Ogara (Enugu), and Rt. Hon. Opiah Goodluck (Imo)-pledged to deliver substantial votes for the President from their region in the upcoming election.
They emphasized that Tinubu’s planned visit to Imo State on Tuesday, part of the APC’s 10th anniversary celebrations in government, would offer him a firsthand experience of the South East’s renowned hospitality and the strong grassroots support from its people.
During this visit, Governor Hope Uzodinma, who also serves as Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and leads the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, will host the President in Owerri. Tinubu is expected to inaugurate key development projects initiated by Uzodinma’s administration.
The group hailed Tinubu as “a visionary leader and a catalyst for national transformation,” expressing the South East’s enthusiasm to welcome him and affirm their steadfast allegiance to his leadership.
“This engagement in the South East is a pivotal event marking the APC’s decade-long governance milestone, especially highlighting the impactful tenure of President Tinubu over the past two years,” the statement emphasized.
They lauded the President’s economic strategies for motivating proactive efforts among Nigerians both domestically and abroad. Additionally, they commended Governor Uzodinma for his pivotal role in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda within the region.
Reiterating their unwavering commitment to Tinubu’s 2027 campaign, the group declared: “The South East is determined to cast overwhelming votes for President Tinubu, ensuring the region’s prominent role in the fair allocation of national resources and infrastructural development. The Renewed Hope Ambassadors pledge the enduring affection, loyalty, and support of the vast majority of South East leaders and citizens, as well as Nigerians nationwide, in the forthcoming presidential election.”
They further revealed plans to activate their campaign network under Uzodinma’s guidance to secure a comprehensive victory for Tinubu, not only in the South East but throughout Nigeria.
