The Progressive Staff Forum of the National Assembly has urged a segment of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) to refrain from staging protests or obstructing entry to the National Assembly while airing their grievances.
This advisory was communicated in a statement issued on Monday, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria.
In the release, Isah Mohammed, the forum’s coordinator, encouraged members to seek redress through legitimate channels-such as filing complaints with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) or the Nigeria Police Force-instead of disrupting the legislative process.
He further revealed that Kamoru Ogunlana, the Clerk of the National Assembly, has established a committee tasked with examining internal staff issues to ensure proper procedures are followed.

The forum also called on security bodies, including the Department of State Services (DSS) and the police, to remain vigilant, emphasizing that any disturbance within the National Assembly premises must be addressed decisively.
Mohammed cautioned that demonstrations within or near legislative grounds risk weakening democratic principles and obstructing parliamentary responsibilities. “Internal conflicts within PASAN must not disrupt legislative functions,” he emphasized.
