Prof. Samaila Mande from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has been chosen as the new president of the Academy of Management Nigeria (TAMN).
This decision was reached unanimously during the academy’s 19th annual general meeting held at Southern Delta University in Ozoro, Delta State.
Recognized as Nigeria’s premier association for scholars and experts in management disciplines, TAMN plays a pivotal role in advancing the field.

In addition to his leadership roles, he serves as a visiting academic at the School of Media and Communication, Pan Atlantic University in Lagos, as well as at various military institutions across Nigeria.
In his new capacity as president, Mande is tasked with steering the organisation’s vision, fostering research initiatives, enhancing educational programs, and promoting best practices in management and leadership.
Prof. Justine Gabriel, the academy’s publicity secretary, remarked in an official statement, “Prof. Mande’s election reflects his profound knowledge and unwavering commitment to the management profession.
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to him and eagerly anticipate collaborating to elevate management scholarship and research throughout Nigeria.”
