Senator Neda Imasuen, representing Edo South Senatorial District, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Uhunwonde local government area, Edo State, to rally behind President Bola Tinubu’s bid for re-election in 2027.

During a recent visit to his Umagbai Ward 5, Senator Imasuen engaged with constituents, pledging to apc/” title=”Kwankwaso Firmly Declares: "I Am Not Ready to Defect to …”>galvanize grassroots support for both the APC and President Tinubu’s administration.

Addressing the community, Imasuen emphasized the importance of reconnecting with his local constituency, highlighting that although he officially joined the APC on June 12, maintaining strong ties with his ward remains essential because “politics thrives at the local level.”

“It was crucial for me to come back to my ward-not only to formally announce my affiliation with the party since June 12 but also to meet with the ward’s leadership,” the senator explained.

He expressed confidence that this outreach would bolster party unity, strengthen its foundation, and secure electoral success in the upcoming polls.

Senator Imasuen also praised President Tinubu’s “bold and visionary economic reforms,” asserting that such decisive actions are vital for revitalizing the country’s economic landscape.

Echoing the commitment of Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Imasuen affirmed the goal of delivering 2.5 million votes for Tinubu in the 2027 elections, describing this target as firmly within reach.

“With God’s grace, Asiwaju 2027 is a foregone conclusion. Achieving this begins with dedicated efforts at the grassroots level,” he added.

Local APC officials in Uhunwonde lauded Senator Imasuen’s initiative to strengthen support for the president ahead of the next election cycle, pledging their full backing.

Osayimwenre Osawe, the APC Chairman in the local government, hailed Imasuen as a valuable asset whose role as a federal legislator would bring significant democratic benefits to Uhunwonde.

“He is an asset, not a burden. His position as a senator enhances our party’s influence. Beyond fostering development, securing a second term would elevate him to a senior senator status, increasing his sway within the Senate,” Osawe stated.
