Newly installed traditional head of Da-Ogo Polo in Buguma, Rivers State, Prince Tonye Princewill and the Amanyanabo of the Source, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, have raised the sum of N110 million for the community’s development fund.Thedevelopment fund will be used to support entrepreneurs and students from the community, who are in various tertiary institutions.
The duo disclosed this while speaking during a meeting at Buguma, which is also the headquarters of Asari-Toru local government area of the state.
Princewill implored the beneficiaries of the fund to use the money very wisely and see themselves as premier ambassadors of the community.
He stressed the need for peace, love, unity, and the collective concern among members of the community and across the Kalabari Kingdom.
The traditional head stated that development only thrived where there is peace and stability and expected all members of the family to play their own part in maintaining peace.
Also speaking during the meeting, Dokubo-Asari, expressed happiness over the emergence of Princewill as the traditional head of the community.
