Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has praised Nigeria as one of the most exceptional places to reside globally.
He highlighted the nation’s distinctiveness, emphasizing the joyful and resilient spirit of its people despite the numerous challenges they face.
Speaking at the church’s monthly thanksgiving service held in Lagos on Sunday, Adeboye encouraged Nigerians living overseas to return home and reconsider any plans to emigrate.
The pastor stressed that Nigerians are among the happiest populations worldwide, making the country an unparalleled place to live.
“Having journeyed across the globe, from the east to the west, I confidently affirm that few countries compare to Nigeria,” Adeboye declared in a video shared on the church’s YouTube platform.
“Certainly, we encounter difficulties, but Nigerians are renowned for their infectious laughter and joy, regardless of circumstances.”
He recounted a memorable interaction in the United Kingdom where a British woman remarked on how contagious Nigerian laughter is.
“I responded with a smile, saying, ‘You haven’t seen anything yet. We find reasons to laugh no matter what happens,'” he recalled.
Furthermore, Pastor Adeboye urged Nigerians to fully submit to God’s sovereignty, emphasizing that genuine success and boundless advancement are gifts granted through divine favor.
“True greatness is only realized when you yield to the King of Kings,” he explained.
“If you believe you have achieved greatness without surrendering to Jesus Christ, that’s your choice. However, He will allow you to remain where you are. Eventually, you will understand that refusing to submit is only limiting your own potential,” he added.
