Global music icon Taylor Swift has firmly rejected speculation that she intends to retire from her musical career following marriage.
During a recent conversation with Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2, Swift addressed circulating rumors suggesting she would step back from the spotlight after marrying NFL athlete Travis Kelce, her partner since 2023.
Reflecting on her forthcoming nuptials, Swift shared, “Right now, I’m genuinely excited about the prospect of marrying this person.”
She added, “My plan is to focus on that joy, then release this new album, and after that, I’ll consider what comes next. That’s a glimpse into my current mindset.”

When Mills jokingly asked, “Taylor, is this your final album?” she quickly replied, “Absolutely not.”
She went on to mention, “I noticed some fans speculating that marriage and children would mark the end of my music career.”
Swift found such assumptions “surprisingly disrespectful,” laughing as she explained, “Marriage isn’t about quitting your passion or profession.” She emphasized, “The person I’m with supports and cherishes my dedication to creating art and music, which brings me immense fulfillment.”
