David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has once again stepped into the political arena of Osun State as the 2026 governorship election draws near.

Senator Omisore, a prominent figure within the All Progressives Congress (APC), recently declared his intention to run for the governorship of Osun State in 2026.
Omisore, who previously served as Osun’s deputy governor, made this announcement through a series of photos shared on his X profile.
Accompanying the images, he wrote:
“The platform is set. The goal is defined. A new chapter is about to be written in Osogbo. Stay tuned. #OsunRescueMission starts now.”
Iyiola Ajani Omisore is a multifaceted Nigerian entrepreneur, engineer, and politician. His political career includes serving as Osun State’s deputy governor from 1999 to 2003, representing Osun East in the Nigerian Senate between 2003 and 2011, and holding the position of national secretary for the APC.

@Orisunbarelanre: “Someone’s trying to distract us from the real issues by bringing politics into the mix.”
