Enugu State’s All Progressives Congress (APC) members are currently celebrating enthusiastically following the announcement that Governor Peter Mbah will be joining their ranks.
According to APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the governor, along with his aides and supporters, is set to officially become part of the ruling party next Tuesday.
The induction ceremony is scheduled to take place in Enugu, famously known as the Coal City State.
Responding to this news, Barrister John Diara, a prominent APC leader in Enugu, welcomed the governor’s decision, calling it a significant and positive development for the party.
He highlighted that Governor Mbah’s move to APC represents a major boost for the party’s prospects in the state.
Diara further emphasized that this shift has revitalized the party’s position, enhancing its chances of success in upcoming elections.
Reflecting on past setbacks, he admitted that the party’s previous poor performances had been a source of disappointment among members. However, with this new development, pride in the APC has been restored.
He attributed the party’s earlier electoral struggles to mismanagement by some self-styled leaders, suggesting that the governor’s entry marks a turning point toward better leadership and improved outcomes.
