The continent’s premier climate dialogue, the Africa Climate Forum (ACF), is set to convene once again in Abuja this October, bringing together policymakers, investors, and trailblazers to explore actionable strategies for Africa’s sustainable transformation.
According to Prof. George Nwangwu, Director General of the Global Centre for Law Business and Economy (GCLBE), the upcoming ACF 2025, scheduled for October 14 and 15 at the Yar’Adua Centre, aims to unite government officials, corporate leaders, financial experts, and civil society representatives. Their mission: to collaboratively chart a path toward a greener, more equitable, and resilient African future.
Now in its third edition, the forum-hosted by GCLBE-has established itself as a vital platform where climate ambitions are translated into concrete initiatives.
This year’s theme, “Bolder, Greener and Better Steps: Closing Transition Gaps in Africa,” underscores a singular objective: accelerating the continent’s shift from dialogue to measurable progress.
Prof. Nwangwu highlighted that despite notable advancements in renewable energy adoption and climate governance, Africa still faces critical challenges, especially in securing adequate funding, accessing cutting-edge technology, and building institutional capacity. The ACF 2025 will therefore prioritize bridging these divides by aligning Africa’s unique needs with international avenues for investment, innovation, and commerce.
