To accelerate the growth of volleyball across Nigeria, the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) is preparing to finalize a collaboration agreement with the United Arab Emirates Volleyball Federation on October 31st this year.
This development was revealed by NVBF President Engineer Musa Nimrod during a recent meeting with Isaiah Kemje Benjamin, President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), held at Nimrod’s Kaduna office. The discussion took place ahead of the forthcoming SWAN @60 celebration in Abuja.
“Volleyball in Nigeria is advancing rapidly, attracting interest and support from various international partners,” Nimrod remarked. “We are particularly pleased to have the UAE join us in this journey, and I will be travelling there on October 31st to officially sign the partnership agreement.”
Having just secured a third term as NVBF President without opposition, Nimrod conveyed his appreciation to everyone involved in nurturing the sport nationwide. He remains confident that with sustained focus on youth and grassroots programs, volleyball is poised to become one of Nigeria’s leading sports.
