Tomeka Thiam, the separated spouse of renowned American R&B and Pop artist Akon, has initiated legal proceedings to dissolve their nearly three-decade-long marriage.
In addition to seeking a divorce, she is requesting $100 million as part of the financial settlement.

Tomeka claims that her significant efforts were instrumental in building Akon’s multifaceted business ventures, which include his music career, real estate investments, and the Akon Light Africa project.
Surprisingly, court documents revealed that Akon’s personal bank account holds only $10,000, with the majority of his estimated $60 million wealth reportedly managed through his mother’s account.
