The group of roadside cleaners tasked with maintaining cleanliness throughout Jalingo, the capital city of Taraba State, has appealed to Governor Agbu Kefas to consider aligning with the All Progressives Congress (APC) to accelerate the state’s development agenda.
Representing the collective known as “Operation Keep Taraba Clean,” the cleaners expressed confidence that if Governor Kefas were to join the APC, Taraba would experience significant progress and achieve its developmental objectives more swiftly.
Speaking at a large rally held in Jalingo to honor Governor Kefas, Iliya Kefas, the state coordinator of Operation Keep Taraba Clean, emphasized the urgency and importance of this appeal.
He acknowledged the governor’s commendable efforts within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) but argued that greater federal support-and thus more substantial development-would be accessible through the APC.
“This is not about political allegiance or personal gain; it’s about the overall advancement and welfare of Taraba State,” he stated.
“Governor Kefas’s ability to deliver on his promises is limited without strong backing from the federal government, which is why we urge him to consider joining the APC,” the coordinator added.
He further remarked, “Taraba belongs to the APC, and Dr. Agbu Kefas has fostered an inclusive atmosphere for all residents of the state.”
“With President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR leading the APC, both Taraba and Nigeria stand to achieve remarkable growth,” Iliya Kefas concluded.
