Kirk Hawkins, the visionary founder and CEO of American aviation company ICON Aircraft, tragically lost his life following a wingsuit accident in the Swiss Alps. The 58-year-old, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, was participating in a wingsuit jump from a helicopter near the summit of the Eiger on August 19, 2025, when he collided with trees and fell to his death.

“I imagine in his final moments, Kirk understood the gravity of what was happening, smiled at the edge, and took his last leap with the same spirit that defined his life.”
