Kenneth Okonkwo, a leading figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has voiced strong optimism about the party’s prospects in the 2027 presidential race.
He confidently predicted that the ADC will take control of Nigeria’s government and effectively replace President Bola Tinubu, sending him back to his residence in Bourdillon.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily this Monday, Okonkwo highlighted the party’s readiness to compete vigorously in upcoming elections, especially under the stewardship of former Senate President David Mark.
He remarked, “The 2027 elections will be a defining moment for the ADC. We are poised to win and form the next government in Nigeria, ultimately unseating Tinubu.”

Discussing the party’s organizational strength, the actor-turned-politician emphasized that the ADC maintains an active presence in all 36 states across Nigeria.
He further identified former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, as a key leader within the party, particularly influential in Rivers State and the South-South region.
“The ADC is established in every state nationwide. Rotimi Amaechi naturally stands out as a leading figure in Rivers State and the South-South zone, making him a central leader of the ADC in that area,” Okonkwo explained.
On September 10, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially endorsed the leadership of the ADC under David Mark, following internal restructuring that introduced new national officers to bolster the party’s capacity ahead of the 2027 elections.
Among the new appointments, INEC recognized Rauf Aregbesola, former governor of Osun State, as the party’s National Secretary.
