Jose Mourinho has officially ended his tenure as head coach of Turkish side Fenerbahce after the club failed to secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
The Portuguese manager’s exit was confirmed just two days following Fenerbahce’s elimination in the Champions League qualifying round by Benfica.
During his single season at the helm, Mourinho, who boasts a managerial career spanning ten clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur, led Fenerbahce to a commendable second-place finish in the Turkish Süper Lig.

Fenerbahce released an official statement on Friday announcing the mutual termination of their partnership with the 62-year-old coach, expressing gratitude for his contributions and wishing him well in his future endeavors.
Throughout his stint in Turkey, Mourinho was outspoken about the quality of refereeing, which resulted in a disciplinary action-a four-match suspension that was later reduced to two games-following his remarks after a high-profile fixture against Galatasaray.
This development marks another chapter in Mourinho’s storied career, as he now looks ahead to new challenges beyond Turkish football.
