Under the dynamic leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Adamawa State Government has unveiled plans to recruit 5,000 new teachers, aiming to address the persistent shortage of educators and elevate the quality of education throughout the state.

The formal launch of the 5,000 Teachers Recruitment Committee was conducted by the Honourable Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Comrade Umaru Garba Pella, during an official event held at the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development Conference Hall in Yola.

This committee comprises representatives from vital educational bodies such as the Teachers Service Board (TSB), Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB), Post-Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB), the Ministry of Education, and the Civil Service Commission. This diverse membership underscores the administration’s dedication to a transparent, equitable, and merit-based hiring process.

In his remarks at the inauguration, Comrade Pella emphasized the Fintiri administration’s steadfast resolve to revamp the education sector in Adamawa. He highlighted that the recruitment drive is designed to bolster teaching staff in both metropolitan and rural areas, ensuring that every student benefits from skilled and motivated educators.

He further explained that the committee is tasked with establishing comprehensive recruitment protocols, conducting thorough applicant vetting, and ensuring a fair allocation of teachers across all 21 local government areas within the state.
