APC Lagos Responds to Governor Bala Mohammed’s Critique of Federal Government
In response to recent remarks by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has firmly rejected allegations that the federal government is prioritizing political ambitions over effective governance as the 2027 elections approach.
Governor Bala Mohammed’s Accusations
Earlier this week, Governor Mohammed accused the APC-led federal administration of focusing more on political maneuvering than on addressing the nation’s pressing issues. He suggested that the ruling party’s attention is diverted towards electioneering strategies rather than delivering tangible progress to Nigerians.
APC’s Firm Rebuttal and Commitment to Governance
Contradicting these claims, Seye Oladejo, the APC Publicity Secretary in Lagos, described the governor’s comments as a frustrated reaction from an opposition struggling to keep pace. Oladejo emphasized that President Bola Tinubu and the APC remain steadfast in their mission to implement transformative policies across key sectors.
“Our administration is deeply engaged in driving substantial reforms in the economy, security, infrastructure, and institutional frameworks,” Oladejo stated. “While some opposition figures are preoccupied with media theatrics, the APC is tackling the complex challenges of nation-building with determination.”
Lagos as a Model of Effective Leadership
Highlighting Lagos State’s progress under APC stewardship, Oladejo urged Governor Mohammed to consider Lagos as a benchmark for visionary and people-focused governance. He noted that true leadership is demonstrated through consistent delivery of results rather than mere public statements.
“Governance transcends press releases; it demands relentless effort to achieve measurable outcomes,” he added. “The APC is not sidetracked by the 2027 elections. When the time comes, our achievements will speak louder than any campaign rhetoric.”
Call for Focus on Bauchi’s Development
Concluding his statement, Oladejo encouraged Governor Mohammed to prioritize the developmental challenges facing Bauchi State instead of launching unfounded attacks on the APC and the federal government.
“We urge the governor to dedicate his energy to improving the welfare of Bauchi’s citizens, addressing critical infrastructure, education, and healthcare needs,” Oladejo said.
