Khamis Musa Darazo, a youth leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, has presidency-to-south/” title=”Wike urges PDP to zone 2027 … to south”>called on the Presidency and the national leadership of the APC to intervene amid concerns about the possible departure of former Communications and Digital Economy Minister, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, from the party.
Darazo emphasized that Pantami’s potential exit would represent a significant political blow to the APC, impacting not only the Northern region but the entire nation.
Addressing reporters in Bauchi on Sunday, Darazo expressed his deep apprehension over rumors indicating that Pantami, a founding member and steadfast supporter of the APC, might be leaving the party.
He described Pantami as more than just a politician, highlighting his role as a thinker, innovator, and unifier who has consistently leveraged his knowledge, faith, and ethical principles to advance good governance and motivate Nigeria’s youth.
Darazo warned that losing Pantami would weaken the party’s intellectual and ethical foundation and send a disheartening message to countless young Nigerians who regard him as a beacon of honesty and forward-thinking leadership.
He urged President Bola Tinubu, the APC national chairman, and other influential figures within the party to engage directly with Pantami to resolve any issues or misunderstandings that might have contributed to his current stance.
“The strength of the APC has always been its unity, inclusiveness, and visionary leadership. Every committed member matters, especially someone like Professor Pantami, whose influence and moral authority extend beyond party boundaries,” Darazo stressed.
Reiterating his commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, Darazo called on the party’s leadership to take prompt and effective action, stating, “At this critical juncture in our political journey, the APC cannot afford to lose such a vital pillar.”
