Isaac Fayose Commends APC’s Infrastructure Advances in Abuja
Isaac Fayose, sibling to former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has publicly acknowledged the notable progress made by the APC-led administration in Abuja, particularly in the realm of infrastructure development.
Major Water Supply Enhancements Underway
In a recent video shared on X, Fayose drew attention to the federal government‘s ongoing project in Bwari, where a substantial 198-kilometre water pipeline is being installed to significantly boost water accessibility for local residents.
“Minister Wike is demonstrating effective leadership once again. The people of Bwari have endured years of water scarcity, and now, thanks to his efforts, this is changing,” Fayose remarked.
Transforming Abuja’s Urban Landscape
He emphasized that these infrastructure initiatives are visibly reshaping the city, stating, “The APC administration has truly revitalized Abuja. While no government is without flaws, the progress here is undeniable and could influence the 2027 elections.”
Fayose further highlighted the comprehensive nature of the improvements, noting that alongside the water pipeline, the city’s sewage system is undergoing significant upgrades, contributing to Abuja’s emergence as a modern metropolis.
Setting Abuja Apart from Other Nigerian Cities
Drawing a comparison, Fayose pointed out that such reliable water supply is rare in other major cities like Lagos, where geographical challenges such as proximity to the ocean complicate water infrastructure. “Abuja is beginning to resemble a well-developed international city,” he added.
Looking Ahead: Political Implications for 2027
Given these developments, Fayose suggested that the APC’s tangible achievements in infrastructure could bolster their political standing in Abuja ahead of the 2027 elections. “The visible improvements are winning hearts and could translate into electoral success,” he concluded.
These infrastructure projects reflect a broader trend of urban renewal in Nigeria’s capital, aligning with national goals to enhance living standards and public utilities. With ongoing investments, Abuja is poised to continue its transformation into a leading African city.
