This donation aligns with ACReSAL’s extensive campaign to encourage widespread tree planting throughout the state, achieved through partnerships with government bodies, community groups, associations, and other key stakeholders.
During the seedling handover ceremony, Dr. Ibrahim Kabir, the state project coordinator, reiterated ACReSAL’s dedication to advancing reforestation and promoting environmental sustainability.
Speaking on behalf of the project, forestry officer Nasiru Abdu Umar highlighted the initiative’s commitment to collaborating with local communities and organizations to address ecological issues by restoring landscapes and increasing tree cover.
Previously, Bauchi ACReSAL had initiated a large-scale tree planting event at the command as part of its ‘One Person, One Tree’ campaign. This effort saw thousands of ornamental and fruit trees planted across the command’s headquarters and officers’ residential areas, bolstering the Nigerian Air Force’s green initiatives.
