The Bauchi State government is gearing up to conclude its series of nationwide investment roadshows with a major event in Kano today, as it intensifies preparations for the highly awaited Bauchi State Economic and Investment Summit.
Scheduled for October 8 and 9, 2025, the summit will be hosted at the state-of-the-art Bauchi International Conference Centre (ICC), a newly established venue designed to accommodate such significant gatherings.
Governor Bala Mohammed’s media representative, Mukhtar Gidado, revealed that the Kano roadshow aims to highlight Bauchi’s extensive and largely unexplored investment prospects to entrepreneurs and business leaders across northern Nigeria and beyond.
This initiative forms a critical part of the state’s broader strategy to attract both domestic and international investors into vital sectors including agriculture, solid minerals, energy, information and communication technology, manufacturing, tourism, and infrastructure development.
“Kano, known for its rich history as a commercial and entrepreneurial center, offers an ideal setting for Bauchi to present its economic opportunities. The event is expected to convene key stakeholders such as industry experts, business owners, chambers of commerce, government officials, financial institutions, and development agencies to foster collaborative ventures with the Bauchi delegation,” Gidado stated.
Leading the delegation, Secretary to the State Government Aminu Hammayo highlighted Bauchi’s advantageous position as a strategic gateway to the Northeast region, underscoring the state’s potential as a commercial hub.
He further noted that the administration under Governor Bala Mohammed has implemented significant reforms and developed infrastructure aimed at enhancing the business climate, protecting investor interests, and ensuring long-term economic sustainability.
“Following successful roadshows in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu, where investors showed strong interest, the Kano event will serve as the culminating platform to build momentum ahead of the October summit,” Gidado added.
The roadshow will include detailed sector-specific presentations, interactive discussions, and networking sessions, providing investors with direct access to Bauchi’s government officials and business leaders.
Governor Bala Mohammed has consistently highlighted his administration’s dedication to fostering a robust and diversified economy by capitalizing on Bauchi’s fertile agricultural land, youthful workforce, rich mineral deposits, and vibrant cultural assets.
He emphasized that forging strategic partnerships is essential to unlocking the state’s full economic potential and enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
Gidado confirmed that the Kano roadshow will take place at Tahir Guest Palace starting at 2 pm, gathering key participants as the countdown to the Bauchi State Economic and Investment Summit 2025 begins.
