The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has refuted claims of signature forgery made by its National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu.
The party affirmed that Senator Anyanwu himself endorsed the letter sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which officially announced the party’s upcoming national convention scheduled for November in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, stated on behalf of the NWC that Anyanwu had personally signed multiple official correspondences, including the notification to INEC regarding the convention set for November 15 and 16.
Ologunagba further explained that these documents were signed mere hours before the 102nd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting convened on August 25.
