Marking three decades of transformative influence worldwide, Daystar Christian Centre is gearing up to celebrate its 30th anniversary this November. The occasion will feature a weekend filled with gratitude, inspiring testimonies, and unique events hosted both at its Lagos locations and through its digital platforms.
Global members and collaborators are invited to share their personal experiences of how Daystar has shaped their journeys. These stories often highlight the impact of initiatives such as the Daystar Academy, Daystar Leadership Academy (DLA), Daystar Skill Acquisition Program (DSAP), Daystar Business Academy (DBA), as well as involvement in small groups and ministry services.
Established in 1995 by Pastors Sam and Nike Adeyemi, Daystar Christian Centre has blossomed into an international community of faith. Its core mission is to cultivate “role models” – individuals transformed by God who serve as exemplary figures within their families, workplaces, and communities.
Throughout its 30-year history, Daystar has extended its reach far beyond its Lagos base, connecting thousands of members online from Africa, Europe, North America, and other regions. The church’s influence is evident in areas such as leadership development, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and societal renewal.
“Our role models are present in churches, institutions, and nations, radiating the light of Christ,” Pastor Adeyemi remarked. “This celebration is a tribute to God’s work in every transformed life and a renewed commitment to the mission ahead.”
According to J. Ayo Makinde, the church’s communications director, the anniversary weekend is anticipated to attract thousands of attendees in person and millions more via online streaming.
Reflecting on this significant milestone, Senior Pastor Sam Adeyemi shared insights into the church’s growth over the years.
He recalled, “In 1994, I received a divine vision to impart biblical principles of success that would change lives. Since then, Daystar has become a platform where many have unlocked their God-given potential and emerged as positive influences in the world.”
The commemorative events are scheduled for Saturday, November 15, and Sunday, November 16, 2025, and will include worship sessions, global testimonies of life change, and a special thanksgiving ceremony.
Deputy Senior Pastor Nike Adeyemi highlighted, “This anniversary is more than a reflection on our past; it is a celebration of God’s unwavering faithfulness and a preparation for the next 30 years of impactful ministry.”
