The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued a caution to the Nigerian public regarding Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, a former officer who was recently dismissed from the agency.
The DSS revealed that Godwin has been involved in fraudulent schemes, falsely representing the agency to deceive innocent individuals.
This alert follows a similar warning about another ex-officer, Barry Donald, who was also terminated from the service for comparable misconduct.
Through a statement posted on its official X account, the DSS emphasized that these former employees have been exploiting the agency’s reputation to scam unsuspecting citizens.
The Service strongly urged the public to refrain from any interactions with these individuals and advised that all official inquiries or concerns be directed to the DSS through authorized communication channels.
The announcement stated, “The public is hereby warned against engaging with him. For any requests, questions, or complaints, please contact the Service directly at 09088373515 or email dsspr@dss.gov.ng.”
