Newly unveiled documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein, released by Congressional Democrats, reveal the names of Elon Musk and Prince Andrew among others.
These records, handed over to the House Oversight Committee by Epstein’s estate, suggest that billionaire Elon Musk received an invitation to Epstein’s private island in December 2014.
Additionally, a flight manifest from May 2000 lists Prince Andrew, Duke of York, as a passenger on a trip from New Jersey to Florida.
Prince Andrew has consistently denied any involvement in wrongdoing, while Musk has acknowledged Epstein’s invitation but stated he declined the offer to visit the island.
This release represents the third installment of documents provided by Epstein’s estate. According to Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, the files include phone message logs, flight manifests, financial records, and Epstein’s daily itinerary.
Besides Musk and Prince Andrew, the documents also mention other notable individuals such as tech entrepreneur Peter Thiel and Steve Bannon, former advisor to President Donald Trump.
One entry dated December 6, 2014, reads: “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?),” indicating a planned visit.
The flight manifest details Prince Andrew traveling alongside Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell from Teterboro, New Jersey, to West Palm Beach, Florida, on May 12, 2000. Maxwell was convicted in 2021 for her role in Epstein’s sex trafficking operation.
A heavily redacted ledger references payments for massages linked to an “Andrew” in February and May 2000, though it remains unclear if this refers to Prince Andrew.
While Buckingham Palace records and media reports confirm Prince Andrew’s presence in the U.S. during this period, the identity of “Andrew” in the ledger cannot be definitively confirmed.
On May 11, 2000, Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Andrew had traveled to New York to attend a National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children reception, returning to the UK on May 15.
The documents also note a planned lunch with Peter Thiel in November 2017 and a scheduled breakfast meeting with Steve Bannon on February 17, 2019.
Furthermore, there is mention of tentative plans for a breakfast gathering with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates in December 2014. Gates later described his association with Epstein as a “mistake” during a 2022 BBC interview.
It is important to clarify that there is no evidence suggesting those named in the files were aware of Epstein’s alleged criminal activities.
Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in a New York jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
In 2008, Epstein struck a plea deal after allegations surfaced from the parents of a 14-year-old girl who accused him of molestation at his Palm Beach residence.
He was arrested again in July 2019 on new sex trafficking charges.
Sara Guerrero, spokesperson for the House Oversight Committee Democrats, called on U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to release additional Epstein-related documents.
“It should be evident to all Americans that Jeffrey Epstein maintained relationships with some of the world’s most influential and affluent individuals,” Guerrero stated.
“Each newly disclosed document sheds further light as we strive to secure justice for survivors and victims.”
Meanwhile, Republican members of the committee accused Democrats of prioritizing political agendas over victims’ interests and pledged to release the complete set of documents soon.
