The newly launched Digital Xperience Centre is a state-of-the-art, fully automated facility designed to offer a paperless, smooth, and self-service banking experience. At the unveiling event, Olusegun Alebiosu, Group Chief Executive Officer, emphasized, “Our vision at FirstBank is firmly rooted in digital transformation. We are crafting the bank of the future, where customers can effortlessly open accounts, deposit funds, and access essential services at their convenience-even during weekends.”

Behind the sleek design and interactive touchscreens lies a robust investment in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Alebiosu detailed that FirstBank now utilizes a three-layer security verification process combining account information, biometric data, and mobile phone authentication to identify suspicious activities and safeguard customers against fraud in real time.

Established in 1894, FirstBank has not only adapted to economic changes and technological advancements but has often been at the forefront of these shifts.

Idris Ado Ibrahim, Group Executive of Retail Banking North Division at FirstBank, highlighted that this initiative is set to boost operational efficiency, reduce customer wait times, and elevate overall satisfaction.

He added, “Our strategy is to extend this concept to bustling urban locations nationwide. Wherever there is significant transaction activity and demand for round-the-clock service, we aim to bring the Digital Xperience Centre closer to the people.”

Customers attending the launch expressed enthusiasm, anticipating that the innovation will minimize queues and provide greater convenience, aligning perfectly with FirstBank’s commitment to deliver banking services “anytime, anywhere.”
