Oloso Bamidele Fatiu, aged 64, alongside 27-year-old Ishola Sikiru, appeared before the Chief Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, facing charges related to the theft of two live goats.
The duo was presented in court following allegations by the police that they unlawfully took the animals from Aramoko Ekiti, the administrative center of Ekiti West local government area.
Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, representing the prosecution, informed the court that the incident occurred in July 2025.
He further stated that the goats, owned by Florence Akinleye, were estimated to be worth N200,000.
Defendants’ lawyer, Mr. Michael Olaleye, requested that the court consider granting bail under reasonable conditions.
Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun approved bail for each accused at N50,000, requiring one surety of equal amount per defendant.
The court scheduled the next hearing for November 6, 2025, to continue proceedings.
