The mother of Hilda Baci, the Guinness World Record-holding chef, recently participated in Pastor Jerry Eze’s NSPPD gathering to celebrate her daughter’s latest cooking marathon achievement.
Only a few days prior, Hilda had organized another major cookathon event that attracted a spectrum of public reactions. In a moving TikTok clip, her mother shared her personal reflections on the event and underscored the significance of spiritual devotion in ensuring its success.
She disclosed that she has been a member of the NSPPD prayer fellowship for five years, witnessing consistent divine faithfulness. When Hilda first introduced the idea of the cookathon, her mother initially compared it to her daughter’s earlier large-scale projects. However, after viewing a video outlining the event’s setup, she grew concerned. This led Hilda to propose a period of fasting and prayer.
The proud mother, who is also a parent to triplets, expressed that she ultimately entrusted the entire endeavor to El-Roi, a biblical name for God, and joined her own mother in an overnight prayer vigil dedicated to the cooking event.
One of her primary anxieties was the risk of the enormous cooking pot leaking or collapsing under the heavy load of rice. The lid was so substantial that a crane was required to lift it. Remarkably, despite the large crowd in attendance, no injuries occurred.
She recounted that as the cooking commenced, Hilda encouraged her to pray in tongues to ensure the rice cooked flawlessly. She also detailed the quantities involved, mentioning the number of rice bags and other ingredients, expressing gratitude that nothing was lost or damaged throughout the marathon.
