The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has designated Ambassador Nnenna Ozoani as the leader of its Election Observation Mission in Nigeria.
According to a press release signed by Ambassador Emmanuel Nkweke, IAWPA’s International Spokesperson, this appointment underscores the organization’s dedication to fostering transparent and trustworthy elections within Nigeria.
Ambassador Ozoani’s role will begin with the upcoming Anambra State governorship election scheduled for November 8, 2025, where IAWPA has secured official international observer status.
Reaffirming its pledge to uphold electoral integrity, IAWPA announced it will deploy a specialized team to closely monitor the voting process in Anambra State, aligning with its broader mission to support credible elections and advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“Ambassador Nnenna Ozoani has been entrusted as the Head of Election Observation to lead our initiatives aimed at guaranteeing a free, fair, and transparent electoral process. Our observers will evaluate adherence to electoral laws, scrutinize the conduct of the election, and report their findings to relevant parties,” the statement explained.
The organization called on all election participants-including candidates, voters, political parties, and security personnel-to collaborate in ensuring a peaceful and legitimate election. It emphasized, “IAWPA remains steadfast in its support for Nigeria’s democratic process and the integrity of its elections.”
