Social media platform Instagram has unveiled a new “Ring” award designed to recognize and celebrate its most influential and high-performing creators around the world. The platform says the initiative aims to spotlight individuals who consistently drive engagement, creativity, and positive community impact across the app.
According to Meta, the parent company of Instagram, the Ring Award will be presented annually to creators who demonstrate exceptional originality, audience connection, and contribution to the platform’s evolving culture. The recognition is part of Instagram’s broader push to strengthen relationships with its creator community and encourage high-quality, authentic content.
Winners of the inaugural edition will reportedly receive a custom-designed gold ring, exclusive access to Meta events, early testing opportunities for new features, and promotional support across Instagram’s official channels.

Speaking about the initiative, Instagram’s Head of Creator Partnerships, Tara Cuddy, said, “Creators are the heartbeat of Instagram. The Ring Award is our way of celebrating those who inspire millions daily through creativity, connection, and culture.”
The program will reportedly highlight creators across diverse categories including fashion, comedy, sports, music, and digital storytelling. Selection will be based on engagement data, creative innovation, and community influence rather than follower count alone.
The first batch of honorees is expected to be announced later this year, with regional ceremonies planned in major cities such as Los Angeles, London, Lagos, and São Paulo — underscoring Instagram’s global creator ecosystem.
