Alex Iwobi is set to become the Nigerian player with the highest number of Premier League appearances when Fulham face his former team, Arsenal, at Craven Cottage this Saturday.
To date, Iwobi has participated in 298 matches in England’s top division.
He currently holds this record jointly with Shola Ameobi.
At 29 years old, Iwobi will surpass this milestone and claim sole ownership of the record if he takes part in the upcoming fixture against Arsenal.
Throughout his Premier League career, Iwobi has represented three clubs: Arsenal, Everton, and Fulham.
His first appearance in the Premier League came on October 27, 2015, when Arsenal played Swansea City.
