Jennifer Lopez, the iconic American singer and actress, has candidly shared her heartfelt challenges with love, admitting that she has never truly experienced the deep affection she has longed for.
In a recent conversation on SiriusXM’s “Howard Stern Show,” broadcast on Thursday, J.Lo revealed that despite her widely publicized relationships and marriages, she frequently felt emotionally lacking. “I don’t believe I’ve ever been loved in the way I truly desired,” she confessed, noting that many of her former partners “simply weren’t equipped to love at that depth.”
Having been married four times and romantically linked to notable figures such as Ben Affleck, Marc Anthony, and Alex Rodriguez, the star hinted that her path through heartbreak has profoundly influenced her personal growth.

“My most recent divorce turned out to be a blessing,” she reflected. “It pushed me into a deep journey of self-discovery-I worked with a spiritual mentor, individual and couples therapists, and even a coach specializing in addiction. I was determined to get to the bottom of it all, no matter what it took.”
When Howard Stern asked if she felt she had ever been genuinely loved, Lopez responded with a firm “no,” but emphasized that she understands what it means to love someone wholeheartedly. She attributed much of her struggle to a lack of self-love. “I realized it wasn’t that I wasn’t worthy of love-it was that they weren’t capable of giving it. They simply didn’t have that capacity,” she explained. “They gave me everything they could-rings, homes, marriages, all the symbols of love-but it still wasn’t enough.”
