The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUST) in Wudil, under the administration of Kano State, has officially dismissed 34 students due to their involvement in cheating during examinations.
In a press release on Friday, Abdullahi Datti, the Head of Information, Publications, and Public Relations, announced that this action was sanctioned by the University Senate during its 123rd session held on October 9, 2025.
The decision followed a thorough review by the Examinations Regulations and Irregularities Committee, which proposed different penalties based on the extent of each student’s misconduct.
“While 34 students faced expulsion, 13 others were suspended for one academic year. Additionally, a number of students received formal warnings, reflecting the varying degrees of their infractions,” the announcement stated.
The university administration emphasized its dedication to preserving academic honesty and enforcing strict discipline among its student body.
