Aliyu Abubakar Getso, a seasoned journalist and broadcaster, has passed away following a lengthy illness.
According to family members, Getso died on Sunday morning in Kano.
He was a well-known and highly regarded figure within the media circles of northern Nigeria.
Throughout his extensive career, Getso contributed to several leading radio stations such as Kano State Radio Corporation, Freedom Radio, Premier Radio, and Vision FM. His articulate delivery, commitment to journalistic integrity, and passion for public service broadcasting earned him widespread respect.
Getso was particularly noted for his insightful commentary on both national and international affairs, helping listeners gain a clearer understanding of complex topics.
He leaves behind three wives, numerous children, and grandchildren.
