Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed dissatisfaction with his initial ratings in the new EA Sports FC 26 game, according to Soccernet.ng.
Following challenging spells in both England and Spain, Iheanacho has embarked on a promising chapter in Scotland, showcasing impressive performances early on with Celtic.
Nonetheless, his EA Sports FC 26 player card seems to reflect his recent struggles rather than his current form on the pitch.
The 27-year-old was revealed with a modest overall rating of 72, a score that visibly disappointed him in a video posted on Celtic’s official YouTube channel.
“I, I, yeah, fair enough, I’ll take that,” Iheanacho remarked with a half-smile, then gestured towards his individual stats.
“Dribbling is 72. Physical? I’m better than that. Shooting? Yes. I’m not exactly happy. But yeah, I’ll accept it.”

His detailed attributes are: Pace 70, Shooting 73, Passing 68, Dribbling 72, Defence 38, Physical 71.
These figures place him outside the top 30 Nigerian male footballers in the game, trailing behind fellow Nigerians Victor Osimhen (87), Ademola Lookman (84), and Victor Boniface (81), who boast significantly higher ratings.

Within the Celtic squad, Iheanacho ranks joint-15th, trailing behind players like Callum McGregor, Daizen Maeda, Kasper Schmeichel, and Cameron Carter-Vickers, all rated at 79.
Despite this, Iheanacho has begun to demonstrate that his current rating may not fully capture his impact. Since joining Celtic on a free transfer from Sevilla, he has swiftly integrated into Brendan Rodgers’ tactical setup.

He contributed an assist in Celtic’s commanding 4-0 victory over Partick Thistle in the League Cup quarter-finals, linking up effectively before being substituted for Daizen Maeda around the 60-minute mark. This followed his successful penalty on debut against Kilmarnock, marking two goal involvements in as many matches.
Rodgers, who previously coached Iheanacho at Leicester City, commended the striker’s physical condition since his arrival in Glasgow.
“He’s one of the leanest players in the squad,” the Celtic boss noted.

The former Liverpool manager also highlighted how rapidly Iheanacho has regained match fitness after limited playing time in Spain.
With a crucial semi-final against Rangers scheduled for November and upcoming Europa League matches, Iheanacho has a prime opportunity to enhance his on-field performances and potentially improve his digital rating in the next edition of the game.
