LagosMums, a trailblazing community for parents with a digital reach exceeding 15 million annually, is set to host its 11th Annual Parenting Conference on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
Having supported parents since the early days before social media’s rise, LagosMums now turns its focus to the emerging frontier: Artificial Intelligence (AI).
This year’s virtual gathering invites families worldwide to delve into the theme “Raising Children in an AI World”, sparking dialogue on whether AI represents a daunting challenge or a valuable ally for parents. Building on previous online events that attracted participants from Nigeria, the US, Australia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Europe, and beyond, the conference continues to unite a global parenting community.
Maintaining its virtual format, the 2025 conference embraces the borderless nature of modern parenting, recognizing that nurturing children in today’s digital era requires a connected e-village.
Exploring Digital Parenting Amidst AI Advancements
With over ten years of experience bringing together parents and specialists to tackle digital-age parenting, this conference will examine how AI is transforming education, social connections, mental wellness, and career landscapes. Attendees will gain actionable strategies to nurture responsible digital citizens.
Key discussion areas include digital wellbeing, mental health, online safety, educational innovation, data protection, and fostering inclusivity.
About the Founder and Her Vision
Yetty Williams, the visionary behind LagosMums, has expanded her expertise over the years. As a certified digital parenting coach with training in cyberpsychology, she investigates how online behavior shifts, why social media serves as a coping tool, and the impact of technologies like AI on social dynamics, child development, and mental health.
Her book, “Digital Savvy Parenting: What the World Urgently Needs”, outlines four digital-parenting profiles derived from her research and coaching, guiding families toward healthier digital habits.
“Our children are true digital natives, and parenting rules have evolved dramatically,” Yetty Williams explains. “Having supported parents since before social media’s boom, we now face the AI era. After deepening my knowledge through cyberpsychology and authoring my book, I firmly believe parents can no longer navigate this landscape by guesswork. AI is reshaping education, work, and social life; becoming digitally literate is essential to thrive in this interconnected e-village where billions have constant access to our lives.”
