Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, has named Hon. Saheed Fijabi, a former House of Representatives member, as the Chairman of the committee tasked with organizing the State’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
The governor’s decision was communicated through a letter signed by his Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, on Monday, officially inaugurating the 11-person committee.
Serving as the deputy chairman is Alhaja Ololade Agboola, the state’s former Head of Service. The committee also features Dr. Z.O. Ajuwon, Mustapha Razaq Areo, Alhaja Fatimah Ololade Azeez, S.A. Adejumo, and Pastor John Olasunkanmi Alabi among its members.
Additional appointees include Alhaji A.K. Bello, Mrs. Ronke Adedayo as Secretary, retired Comptroller Fatai Owoseni, and Mr. Samuel Adegboyega Badejo, who is the Director General of Protocol.
The governor’s directive specifies that these appointments take effect immediately.
