The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a prominent Fulani socio-cultural organization, has officially suspended the chairpersons of three northeastern states.
The individuals affected by this decision are Bammi Bello Jane from Taraba, Muhammed Hussaini Buzaye representing Bauchi, and Usman Abubakar Yirlabe of Adamawa State.
This announcement was made public by the association’s National Public Relations Officer, Malam Mohammed Suleiman, during a press briefing held in Keffi, Nasarawa State, on Thursday.
The suspension stems from allegations of inadequate performance, poor representation, and neglect of the welfare of members by the three chairmen.
According to Suleiman, separate complaints were lodged by members from the respective states to the national leadership, which, after a thorough investigation, were confirmed to be valid.
He emphasized that the national executive committee, led by Alhaji Abdullahi Badejo, expressed deep disappointment over the conduct of the suspended state leaders and reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the interests of Fulani pastoralists.
“Following an extensive review and evaluation of numerous grievances from Fulani pastoralists, the National President has taken the decision to suspend Bammi Bello Jane of Taraba, Muhammed Hussaini Buzaye of Bauchi, and Usman Abubakar Yirlabe of Adamawa State chapters, effective immediately,” Suleiman stated.
“This action was deemed essential to rebuild the trust and confidence of our members,” he added.
Furthermore, the Badejo-led administration has urged all security agencies and stakeholders to refrain from engaging with the suspended chairmen, as they no longer hold any official capacity within the association.
“We call on all members and partners to acknowledge and uphold this resolution,” Suleiman said.
“The association warns that any attempts by the suspended individuals to present themselves as representatives or leaders of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore will be met with legal action,” he concluded.
“We remain steadfast in protecting the reputation and integrity of the association against any conduct that could tarnish its standing,” he affirmed.
